H.E. Dr Ziad Baha-Eldin, Former Dy PM of Egypt and Minister of International Cooperation and Member of Parliament visited Amul Dairy, Anand on March 19th 2015. He was accompanied by his spouse Professor Hania, a Social Scientist and Mr Makrand Shukla, Regional Officer, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, GOI, Ahmedabad. He was briefed about the Amul Model & its relevance in the Indian Dairy Sector. They were highly impressed by the success story of Amul and the difference it has brought in the lives of millions of farmers; as also the technology in use.

It is a great honour to be able to see the transformation brought about by Amul in the lives of millions of Indian farmers and to realise the pride, independence and welfare it has allowed them. My deepest appreciation for the honesty, fairness and dedication which have made this a reality, the late Dr Kurien to every member and employee of Amul.
