Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Animal Husbandry, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh visited Amul on January 18th 2014 for an exposure visit. He was accompanied by Shri A K Thakur, MD, H.P State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. They were impressed by the automation at the plant level which helps the rural farmers. They were shown the award gallery & memorial of Dr. Kurien after the plant visit. They visited NDDB & GCMMF also for better understanding of cooperative & dairy operations.
