Aligned with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of a TB-free India, Amul Dairy has extended its social commitment through the “TB Mukt Anand-Kheda-Mahisagar District” campaign, recognising nutrition as a vital complement to timely diagnosis and regular treatment. Under the leadership of Chairman Shri Shabhesinh Parmar, the Board of Directors of Amul Dairy has committed over ?1 crore towards nutritional assistance for TB patients, committed to providing monthly nutrition kits valued at ?1,500 for six months. The initiative will support 500 patients in Anand, 500 in Kheda, and 300 in Virpur and Balasinor blocks of Mahisagar, with nutrition kits containing chana, jaggery, soybeans, mung beans, peanuts, rice, groundnut oil and toor dal. The initiative was launched in the presence of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Shri Ramanbhai Solanki, Hon’ble MP and former Union Minister Shri Devusinh Chauhan, Shri Arjunsinh Chauhan (MLA–Mahemdavad), Shri Rajeshbhai Zala (MLA–Kapadvanj), Shri Mansinh Chauhan (MLA–Balasinor), The Kheda District Central Co-op Bank Ltd., Nadiad Chairman Shri Tejasbhai Patel, Kheda District Panchayat President Shri Hiteshkumar Tadvi, Anand District Panchayat President Shri Jilubha Sindha, Vice Chairman Amul Dairy Shri Vijaybhai Patel, members of the Board of Directors of Amul Dairy, and MD Amul Dairy, Dr. Amit Vyas. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Devusinh Chauhan reaffirmed Amul’s consistent commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility. The programme was formally inaugurated by handing over nutrition kits to the District Tuberculosis Officers of Anand, Kheda and Mahisagar, in the presence of over 1,200 representatives of milk cooperative societies.
