The AGM was graced by Shri Ramanbhai Solanki, Cabinet Minister, Government of Gujarat, as Chief Guest, along with Shri Devusinh Chauhan, MP, Kheda; Shri Arjunsinh Chauhan, MLA, Mahemdavad; Shri Rajeshbhai Jhala, MLA, Kapadvanj; Shri Mansinh Chauhan, MLA, Balasinor; Shri Tejasbhai Patel, Chairman, The Kheda District Central Co-op Bank Ltd., Nadiad; Shri Hiteshkumar Tadvi, President, Kheda District Panchayat; and Shri Jilubha Sindha, President, Anand District Panchayat, as Special Guests, Board of Directors of Amul Dairy, and Dr. Amit Vyas, MD Amul Dairy. In his address, Shri Sabhesinh Parmar reflected on Amul Dairy's extraordinary 80-year cooperative journey and paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Tribhuvandas Patel and Dr. Verghese Kurien, whose vision laid the foundation of the movement. He highlighted Amul’s growth from a ?100 share capital institution to a cooperative enterprise exceeding ?15,000 crore, with more than 7 lakh milk producers associated with it. Highlighting the achievements of FY 2025–26, he noted that Amul Dairy recorded 48.35 lakh kg average daily milk procurement and crossed ?15,114 crore turnover, registering 7.20% growth over the previous year. Strengthening farmer welfare, Amul Dairy paid approximately ?1,035 per kg of fat to milk producers, while 98 families received over ?2 crore in support under the Insurance Assistance Scheme. The AGM also highlighted Amul Dairy’s continued focus on farmers' income, livestock productivity and technology adoption, including sexed sorted semen, embryo transfer, digital cow belts, calf-rearing initiatives and doorstep veterinary services that benefited over 7.81 lakh animals through 13 veterinary centres. Looking ahead, the Union reiterated its commitment to sustainable development and clean energy, including the planned ?43-crore Bio-CNG plant at Ode, being developed in collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation and National Dairy Development Board, with a capacity to process 75 metric tonnes of dung per day. With it’s successful expansion into the United States and Spain, the Union also expressed its resolve to take the Amul movement to more international markets in the years ahead.
