Amul Dairy, Anand, had the privilege of welcoming Ms. Marion Van Schaik, Agriculture Counsellor for India, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Netherlands Embassy in India), accompanied by Mrs. Kruti Urs, Chief Representative, Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO), and Mr. Prasad G. Parte, Senior Policy Advisor, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on 10th September 2026. The delegation explored the remarkable journey of the Amul movement, from its inception in 1946 to its evolution into a globally recognised symbol of India’s cooperative dairy sector. Following the visit, the delegation had a meaningful interaction with Dr. Amit Vyas, MD, Amul Dairy, focusing on understanding dairy initiatives, digital innovations, knowledge exchange and opportunities for stronger collaboration. Appreciating Amul’s transformation and impact, Ms. Marion van Schaik remarked, “Thank you so much for showing us your impressive journey from 1946 to 2026. The Netherlands is very much involved in the dairy sector. Keep up the good work and keep this spirit going.”
