Amul Dairy, Anand, welcomed a media delegation comprising senior editors and reporters from Hyderabad (PIB in Telangana) and Itanagar on 10th September 2026, as part of a media visit organised by the Press Information Bureau, Ahmedabad (Press Information Bureau in Gujarat). The purpose of their visit was to understand the ongoing development projects of Government of India in Gujarat and also some model project in Cooperative sector. The delegation first visited the Amul Dairy Plant, gaining insights into Amul’s integrated cooperative model, modern dairy operations, efficient systems and farmer-centric approach. This was followed by an interaction with Dr. Amit Vyas, MD, Amul Dairy, covering Amul Dairy’s journey of digitalisation, growth and operational transformation, along with its future plans and expansion initiatives in South India. The discussion highlighted the role of technology, innovation and strong cooperative systems in driving efficiency, transparency and sustainable growth. The delegation then visited the Chocolate Plant at Tribhuvandas Food Complex, Mogar, witnessing Amul’s value-added product manufacturing capabilities and diversified dairy portfolio. The visiting journalists appreciated the scale, efficiency and professionalism of Amul Dairy’s operations, particularly the cooperative model’s role in empowering farmers, strengthening rural livelihoods and contributing to India’s dairy sector.
