we commemorated a significant occasion as Amul Dairy celebrated its 78th Foundation Day, coinciding with the 149th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Ironman of India’ and visionary behind our cooperative, as well as Dhanteras, the festival of prosperity and progress. The event held at Sardar Patel Auditorium at Amul Dairy was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Meenesh C Shah, Chairman National Dairy Development Board, along with Shri Vipul Patel, Chairman Amul Dairy, Shri Kantibhai Sodha Parmar, Vice-Chairman Amul Dairy, Board of Directors, and Dr. Amit Vyas, Managing Director Amul Dairy. At the event, we are proud to announce the e-inauguration of a milestone project which reinforces our commitment to sustainability, a one-megawatt solar plant at our Cattle Feed Factory in Kanjari and Amul Feed Plant in Kapdivav. This project, part of a larger vision, involves setting up 2 megawatts of solar capacity at a cost of ?5 crore, aiming to equip every milk mill in our network with solar energy solutions. By generating 8,000 units of electricity daily, this initiative is projected to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and provide economic benefits of ?72,000 per day, totaling an impressive ?2.5 crore annually. We aim to ensure that all village dairy cooperative societies (VDCS) are equipped with solar plants by March 2025, reflecting our dedication to environmental protection and sustainability.
