He was apprised of key initiatives such as the scientific calf rearing program, Embryo Transfer Program (ETP), and the Total Mixed Ration (TMR) production facility. He appreciated Amul Dairy’s efforts in promoting improved genetics and balanced nutrition at the grassroots level.
During the visit, he observed the biogas plant, organic fertilizer unit, and slurry dispatching system, and commended the integrated circular economy model practiced at the farm. He also took keen interest in sustainable fodder harvesting and production systems.
Later, Dr. Ramaswamy visited Amul Dairy's Semen Station, Ode, and the scientific rearing unit for male animals. The visiting delegation expressed interest in sourcing semen doses, embryos, and elite animals from Amul Dairy to support dairy development in Maharashtra.
