The Indian Dairy Association successfully organized the 51st Dairy Industry Conference, ‘Indian Dairying—Global Growth; Local Strength,’ from March 6 to 8, 2025, at Samrat Ashoka International Convention Centre in Patna, Bihar. The conference brought together distinguished leaders and decision-makers from the dairy sector to discuss critical challenges and opportunities driving the industry's growth and evolution. In the technical session of the conference, Dr. Amit Vyas, Managing Director, Amul Dairy, gave an insightful talk on “Animal Husbandry Innovations”, emphasizing cutting-edge advancements that enhance productivity, animal health, and sustainability at Amul Dairy. He highlighted Amul Dairy’s pioneering initiatives towards genetic improvement, precision feeding, and smart dairy farming to optimize milk yield while ensuring the well-being of dairy animals. Additionally, he also talked about the role of technology-driven healthcare, including early disease detection, wearable sensors, and AI-based monitoring systems, in improving livestock management and reducing production losses.

Dr. Nilesh Nayee, Sr. Manager (AB), National Dairy Development Board, Dr. Sohanvir Singh, National Dairy Research Institute, (NDRI) Karnal, and Dr. Umesh Singh, Dean, Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology, Patna also shared their views in the session.
