Mr. Lalsawta, Minister of Finance, Planning, Law, Judicial & Taxation, Govt. of Mizoram visited Amul Dairy, Anand for an exposure visit on November 25th 2016. He was accompanied by Mr. P.C. Lalthanliana, Minister of Horticulture, Social Welfare & Lad, Mr. C. Nguntianchunga, Minister of State for AH, Veterinary DMR and dignitaries from different Ministries. Dr. Dhaval Kumar Patel. IAS, District Collector, Anand received the delegation. They were briefed the Amul model and the development of Amul and Dairy sector in India through a PowerPoint presentation. He was highly impressed by the technology used at Amul and the services provided by Amul to the farmers. He expressed his desire to have such cooperatives in Mizoram for the benefit and economic prosperity of farmers.

Impressions:

We, 17 persons from Mizoram visited this plant and we were warmly welcomed. We were shown films that show the growth of ‘Amul’ from 1946. We were amazed and overwhelmed by the power of people working together for a common goal. This is the spirit we intend to take home to Mizoram.
